OLINK Proteomics

ARCADIA is the official and certified Olink service provider for the BeNeLux countries since 2018. With our Olink proteomics platform we can offer a high capacity analysis service for comprehensive protein biomarker analyses using many different disease-and biological process-focused panels. Using minimal sample volume this provides quantifiable results with highthroughput, exceptional sensitivity and specificity, with coverage across a broad dynamic range.

ELLA

Since March 2020 Arcadia is partnering with Biotechne to provide services for immuno-assay testing and development supplying you with ELLA Next Generation ELISA technology.

ELLA enables the detection of biomarkers in single and multiplex formats in a microfluidic setup. Ella’s combination of performance and workflow brings immunoassays to the next level delivering data with sub-picogram level sensitivity, 4+ logs of dynamic range and reproducibility that rivals the best laboratory automation. Ella’s assays support single or multianalyte experiments with no crossreactivity, and getting good immunoassay reproducibility. Ella provides the analytical power for your research with a high level of automation and validation in a wide variety of application fields like Cancer, Neurology and Cell Therapy.

Biomarker discovery and validation experiments can be executed on multiple types of samples ranging from serum and plasma to CSF.

MSD multi-array technology

As CRO partner for Meso Scale Diagnostics we provide services for immunogenicity testing, multiplexed biomarker analysis, and custom assay development. The MSD technology enables the detection of biomarkers in single and multiplex formats utilizing ultra-sensitive electrochemiluminescence detection. A wide product line include many single and multiplex assay kits for profiling biomarkers, cell signaling pathways and other applications. In addition the open platform format allows for custom assay development. Increasingly, studies have shown that many biomarker levels are actually lower than previously thought, we are excited to be able to offer you the new S-plex format assays that can offer you unmatched ultrasensitive biomarker detection spanning the fg/mL range. This will open applications for: biomarkers that are believed to be present, but are not measurable; biomarkers that are known, but below detectable limits at native levels; small changes in biomarkers related to disease progression.

ELISA/RIA

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a commonly used analytical immunoassay technique involving detection of an analyte normally when there is a demand for measurements on a smaller scale and/or lower sensitivity which can be very cost-effective. Although the radioimmunoassay (RIA) method is similar in principle to the non-radioactive sandwich ELISA method, it uses radiolabeled molecules thereby making it extremely sensitive and extremely specific. This method can be used for any biological molecule in principle and is not restricted to serum or plasma antigens. Because radioactive substances are used it requires special precautions and licensing in combination with specialized equipment. Arcadia is utilizing this technique on a wide variety of projects involving high sensitive screening for hormone levels in blood samples.

LCMS

Due to the great flexibility, LC-MS/MS is very suitable for research purposes in patient care. Quantitative analysis in very low detection levels (in pmol/L) is possible for the analysis of endogenous compounds. No matter what type of analysis, endogenous, exogenous compounds or biomarkers it is possible to work with small sample volumes.

In addition the LC-MS/MS technique is widely applicable in terms of diverse sample material. Serum, plasma, dry blood spot, breast milk, saliva or urine have all been used and well documented. Due to the rapidly evolving field of LC_MS/MS, today Arcadia is able to use this technique to perform targeted proteomics, lipodomics and detection of very small molecules. Because the platform is an open format it enables for custom assay development.

Luminex

Utilizing xMAP technology for multiplex analysis of your biomarkers within a single sample. With our Luminex 200 system Arcadia offers Multi-Analyte Profiling (xMAP) technology allowing simultaneous analysis of up to 100 bioassays from a small sample volume, by reading biological tests on the surface of microscopic para-magnetic beads. xMAP technology combines this miniaturized liquid array bioassay capability with small lasers, digital signal processors, photo detectors, charge-coupled device imaging and proprietary software to create a system offering advantages in speed, precision, flexibility and cost.

xMAP technology is currently being used within Arcadia for various research projects, ranging from biomarker discovery and validation in large pre-clinical cohort studies as well as assay development. To facilitate researchers in biomarker discovery and validation, ARCADIA offers a ISO9001 work environment with a wide range of cuttingedge technology platforms suitable for measuring several markers simultaneously in low sample volumes such as OLINK (Targeted Proteomics) and multiplex assay platform like MSD Discovery, Ella and Luminex.
